Gimp Intro: Downloading

Hello there..

I am going to be starting a series of tips and tricks on the program called Gimp, Each week, I will provide you free tutorial on how to make your craft pictures look presentable online. This series will be really good for you if you have your own online shop (such as an Artfire or Etsy shop).

Today is the mini introduction to Gimp.

Gimp is a photo editing software that is comparable to Adobe Photoshop. It is VERY powerful and do almost the same things as you could on Photoshop. You don't need to spend a couple hundred bucks on Adobe Photoshop, when you can get this program absolutely FREE. It is available Windows, Mac, and Unix/Linux computers.

Today, I would like you to head to the Gimp website, and download the latest version of Gimp which is 2.6.6 After installing it, play around with it a little bit. Next week, our lesson will be on brightening a picture.

Just stumbled on your Gimp series and looking forward to going through it. So far the whole program has me stumped. I'd love to be able to do pics for my resin jewelry. Thanks!
